Scripture Ministry

Tomah Baptist Church’s Scripture ministry is called Light Bearing Print Ministry, and is devoted to using the printed page to shine a light upon the dark path of the lost and edify God’s people.

Either in Tracts, John and Romans, New Testaments, other Gospel literature, or the assembly of Scripture portions printed-—these all serve to better equip the Church, Missionary, or Nationals who are training for and serving God. Volunteers from our own congregation, burdened by the same desire to help with this process, work on a weekly basis to assemble, trim, staple and, box and prepare for shipping these Scriptures to go around the world.

Psalms 68:11 says, “The Lord gave the word and great was the company of those that published it.” We are a group entrusted with a large responsibility. The printed page helps enable us to further carry out our duty.

It is estimated that each Scripture portion is read by at least 10 people. That means, in 2004 we were able to reach out to about half a MILLION people, and this year about ONE MILLION PEOPLE! Praise the Lord for this amazing opportunity to have our fingerprints go around the world!

Goal

Our goal is to be a blessing to the Churches, Missionaries, Evangelists, and every born again believer in Christ. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ deserves only the best and that’s what we strive to provide. We seek excellence in service for the Lord through quality, honesty, and satisfaction. All these in a timely manner that’s sure to please even the busiest of servants.

History

Light Bearing Print Ministry was started January 11, 2004, under the encouragement of Larry Stallings from First Baptist Church, Ohio. He brought 15,000 John/Romans to be assembled, 9 staplers and a 3-knife cutter. Over the course of two nights, we had over 100 people help to complete those Scripture portions.

In 2004, we purchased 2 industrial staplers of our own and 1 single knife cutter, and completed 45,000 John/Romans Scriptures in various languages.

In 2005, we added 2 more staplers, and an additional single knife cutter, and will have completed almost 100,000 Scriptures!!! We anticipate being able to do about 125,000 or more in the future!

Some of the languages we have assembled include: Hungarian, Spanish, Russian, French and Portuguese.

Remember Mark 13:10, “And the Gospel must first be published among nations.”
