Have You Prayed?

Have You Prayed?

Matthew 6:6-8 “But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.”

Hebrews 4:14-16 “Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”

James 5:13-16 “Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms. Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”

Take Time to Pray

“Take Time to pray! When fears and foes distress you and tiresome toils oppress you, then the Master waits to bless you, If you’ll take time to pray.
Take time to pray! Come what there may to stand in the way; look often to Jesus and take time to pray.”

We live in a world that is sin torn. The days are wicked and wretched. Moral compromise is everywhere on a very high level. If there was ever a time that a Christ follower should be in contact with God, it is today. Have you prayed?

We live in a world of instability as men and women all around us shift from side to side both politically and religiously. Minds are under constant attack from the enemy. Have you prayed?
We live in a world of lessening morals. Questions of what is right and what is wrong are met with answers of there are no right and wrongs. Immorality is accepted practice on nearly every turn.

We live in the kind of world that we need to be in a daily contact with God. There are somethings in life that we need to have settled if we intend to live in this world with the boldness that God expects us to have in our witness. Have you prayed?

Do you have a prayer closet? Do you have a prayer list? Do you have a prayer time? Have you prayed?
